Tron (TRX) Blockchain Continues To Lead Ethereum (ETH) In Total dApp Volume Transactions
Tron (TRX) growth during the year has been phenomenal as number of dApps hiked, the price stabilized on an upward trajectory and dApps transaction volume surpassing Ethereum in the past week. Despite the blockchain being only a year old, the recent heroics over its two major competitors – Ethereum (ETH) and Eos (EOS) – offers a sign of better things to come.
According to DApp Review, a website that collects information on these top three dApp blockchains, Tron recorded a total transaction value of $74,138,817 USD in the past week. Ethereum and Eos recorded a total volume of $70,287,646 USD and $45,560,313 USD in the past 7 days respectively. This is no mean feat taking into account that Tron blockchain hosts a fewer apps than the other two blockchains.

Tron announced the addition of two dApps in its weekly report ending 12 July 2019 – Just.game and Eggie.world – to bring the total number to 519 dApps. Ethereum is the top dApp hosting destination with 1,857 dApps and Eos the second with a total of 586 dApps.
The CEO of Tron Foundation, Justin Sun remains optimistic on Tron’s ability to play catch up to the two blockchains. The journey to becoming the top blockchain for dApp developers however does not stop at the volume transacted but other facets too. Tron main net is yet to get there.
The Dominance Of Ethereum And Eos
Despite leading the charts in the volume transacted in the past 7 days, Tron still lags behind in other areas including the number of users and transactions made on the platform. Eos leads the board in both of these statistics in the past 7 days with a total of 681,020 users and 19,073,309 transactions.
Eos leads the dApp market in the number of transactions completed in 7 days.
Tron comes in second in the number of users with a total of 341,496 users while Ethereum has a total of 135,535 users in the past 7 days. Tron and Ethereum completed a total of 4,053,556 and 488,763 transactions in the past 7 days respectively.
EOS and Tron beat Ethereum in number of dApp users in the past week.
Tron’s high transaction value is mainly contributed by the Casino games on the platform, comprising of 8 of the top 10 highest transaction volume dApps. TRON Bet, a casino based game, leads the charge with a total of $8.75 million USD transacted in the past 24 hours. In second place is X2BET.WIN with a daily transaction value of $454,762 USD, albeit from one user.
