Tron (TRX) Celebrates the Second Anniversary of Its Mainnet; 6M Accounts And Over 750 Dapps

Tron Mainnet turned two years old on May, 31st marking its second anniversary since its ‘controversial’ migration from Ethereum (ETH) network. Over the past two years, Tron (TRX) has recorded major milestones in ranking, development, audience etc. morphing into Ethereum’s biggest challenger on the smart contract field.

Justin Sun, CEO of Tron Foundation, boasted of the developments seen on TRON mainnet so far including the vast spread of nodes, millions of wallet accounts created and the growing number of dApps on the network. Lest we forget, Tron based USDT stablecoin is second only to ERC-20 USDT in number after a magnificent growth from $37 million to $2.38 billion in the past year.

Tron mainnet’s second anniversary

On May 31, 2018, Tron Foundation led the migration of TRON and its community from the Ethereum smart contract ERC-20 standard to its own mainnet, marking a new beginning. In a tweet celebrating the second birthday of the TRON mainnet platform, Justin said,

Starting at 2,000 active accounts, the TRON mainnet has grown steadily – currently holding ~100,000 active accounts on the network. Currently, the TRX native token trades at $0.016264, representing a 2.15% decrease over the past 24 hours.

Justin Sun announces “exciting project”

Justin’s and Tron’s marketing team work off hours to make sure the self-labeled “Ethereum killer” is heard in the market at all costs. One of the best tactics Justin Sun, who’ll be turning 30 in July, uses to market upcoming developments is asking his 2million+ followers to guess the development.

In a tweet that has received over 2000 interactions, Justin teased yet another major development to launch on June 8.
