Tron (TRX) Mainnet Boasts 100,000 Users, Sets Sights on Passing Ethereum (ETH)
100 Thousand Plus Users Join Tron Mainnet: Justin Sun Looking Forward for More
After deciding to separate from Ethereum, Tron went ahead to launch the Tron MainNet on May 31. This launch was later followed by a series of other events that included token migration, coin burn, super representative elections, Tron Virtual Machine (TVM) launch and the most important bringing out the secret project.
The total number of accounts on #TRON mainnet exceeds 100 thousand and block height has already reached 1100078 with 368 online nodes. Once the official #TVM is launched, there will be more and more users on #TRON mainnet. #TRX $TRX pic.twitter.com/pINVqbdj26

Founder Justin Sun recently tweeted that more than 100 thousand users had joined Tron Mainnet with the network’s block height reaching 1100078. The founder is hopeful that more users will join the Mainnet after TVM official launch. His tweet read
“The total number of accounts on #TRON mainnet exceeds 100 thousand and block height has already reached 1100078 with 368 online nodes. Once the official #TVM is launched, there will be more and more users on #TRON mainnet. #TRX $TRX.”
Sun is also looking forward to onboard BitTorrent. On July 30, he shared about the new Project Atlas with this platform and has hope that BitTorrent will be among the largest applications operating on the TRON network. He believes that having BitTorrent on the main network will increase daily transactions and surpass Ethereum to become the most influential network worldwide.
At the moment the TRON community is involved in the TRX airdrop according to Sun’s tweet. In this tweet, he is encouraging users to participate in this event while celebrating the launch of the Mainnet. It is a kind of a competition in which the user placed first will win 3333 $ TRX. The airdrop will last till August 3, 2018.
There have been a lot of good news during the launch of TRX network. Users have been excited about the prospects of a network that might just overtake Ethereum. However, the community is concerned about the stagnation of the token’s price. TRX is currently trading at a meagre price of $0.031 per token, against the expectation of the token holders. There had been hope that the token price would rise following the MainNet launch but that is yet to happen, but they remain hopeful. TRX’s market cap stand at $2.08 billion.
