Tron-USDT Goes Live on Mainnet, Receives Support from Top Exchanges

Tron-USDT has officially moved onto mainnet and is currently awaiting third-party audit, as per Tron founder and BitTorrent CEO Justin Sun.

Tron-USDT is already supported by top cryptocurrency exchanges viz. Bitfinex, Huobi Global, and OKEx.

A number of other platforms like Gate.io, BitForex, Bitpie, ZB.com, DragonEx, TRX Market, BigOne, Coinsuper, CoinTiger, Bit-Z, ExShell, BTex, Bitasset, Biki.com, VenaPi, and Ddex also support Tron-USDT along with Tron Link wallet, Huobi Wallet, and Math wallet.

Recently, Tron also partnered with Swarm, a blockchain-based development firm that provides fee-free tokenization of assets. Through this collaboration, financial service providers with ‘proper licensing’ will be allowed to launch security tokens on Tron blockchain. Moreover, according to Philipp Pieper, the co-founder and CEO of Swarm, investors will use Tron-USDT and TRX to purchase security tokens.

Celebrating The Cooperation

Recently, Tron Foundation announced that it will be giving back to its community to celebrate the cooperation between Tron and the largest stablecoin Tether (USDT). Sun had said that they plan to give 20 million dollars in USDT-Tron to the early adopters.

“This just like the TRX – BTT airdrop we have been doing before… We just airdrop assets to those addresses without touching any of the assets at all.”

Previously, Tether has been built on Omni that is based on the Bitcoin network. Sun has repeatedly sad Tron is a better choice than Omni or Ethereum because of its speed, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. This according to Sun makes Tron the best choice for stablecoins development from which the whole blockchain community would be benefitted.

Tron and Tether partnership began in March 2019 that is expected to bring more developers into the fold by mitigating the risk of volatility through a fiat-backed cryptocurrency. Moreover, Tron is eyeing institutional investment as Sun has stated that they are already receiving tremendous demand from institutions.

Tron Odyssey-3.5.1 (Xining upgrade) Is Also Live

Just yesterday, the latest version 3.5.1 of Tron Odyssey also went live. This Xining upgrade restructured the transactions and synchronization modules. The change 2045 includes refactor of sync & adv module, increase code readability and system scalability.

RocksDB will be an option for the storage engine in the java-Tron. The new RocksDB now allows users to back up their block data without putting the running nodes on hold.

The new update further allows faster block forwarding as by setting the forward node, the miss rate for the block can be decreased.

At the time of writing, the 11th largest cryptocurrency has been trading at $0.0265 with 24-hours loss of almost 12 percent.
