Tron’s dApp Popularity On Github Grows In Comparison To EOS And Ethereum
It is undeniable that Tron has grown a lot since the launch of its mainnet. While many people did not believe in Justin Sun’s promises that Tron would eventually surpass Ethereum, they seem more likely every day.
Not only Tron has now more active decentralized applications (dapps) than Ethereum and EOS, the company is also faring better than they on Github.
According to a recent announcement made by the CEO of the Tron Foundation, Justin Sun, Tron is now ranked 13th on Github. At the moment, the project has 1258 commits, more than the double of Ethereum, which has 511 commits. EOS comes later with 311 commits in the past six months.
This is, according to him, just the beginning of the new age in which Tron will be the king of cryptos and finally fulfill his promise to overcome EOS and ETH.
He also affirmed that the in-app purchases made on Tron’s dapps boomed this year. They actually peaked during March 18. While the purchases diminished a bit after that, the number of commits continued to grow steadily, which shows that the Tron community is getting pretty strong right now.
EOS And Ethereum Are Not Doing As Well As Tron
The two main competitors of Tron are not doing as well as the company led by Sun. Ethereum, for instance, has only 511 commits and this is a proof that, when compared to Tron, its community is simply not so active anymore.
While Ethereum is having a pretty good year and it remains as the second largest token network in the world, the truth is that ETH is lacking the momentum that Tron currently has. The company peaked in programmable contracts usage on February 13 and things are not necessarily looking better since then.
EOS is even worse. The network was aimed at finding success in the gambling dapp world, but Tron basically took the front and the network was left to eat dust with just 311 commits on Github.
This network also has seen its peak back in February. Its main difference, when compared to Ethereum, is that it has fallen a lot more since then. While Ethereum is not really affected by the success of Tron, EOS is. Both EOS and Tron sought to be the main company of the gambling area and only one of them was really successful.
We still have half of the year to see where Tron will end up, but if we take the first half into account in order to discover what will happen, Tron has pretty good chances of growing even more.
