Tron’s Justin Sun Forced To Postpone Lunch With Warren Buffett Due to Medical Emergency

One of the unexpected yet anticipated events of 2019 was that of a lunch date between Investment Legend, Warren Buffett and the CEO of TRON, Justin Sun. As reported by CCN, the date has been postponed due to an unforeseen health issue experienced by Sun.

One might wonder how the CEO of TRON managed to get Warren Buffett to have lunch with him in the first place. Turns out, that the former won the record-setting, 20th-anniversary charity lunch by bidding $4,567,888 for the Glide Foundation.

News surrounding the postponing was initially revealed by Founding Partner at Primitive, Dovey Wan, who tweeted that Sun disclosed said concern from his Weibo update – a Chinese microblogging website. As seen in the tweet below, both original and translated snippets have been shared.

According to the released statement, Sun was hospitalized due to kidney stones. The translation further noted that:

“At present, the physical condition is all stable and in the recovery period. I cannot accept the interview. Please forgive me.”

In a previous post by South China Morning Post, Warren Buffett’s assistant supposedly shared a few words on the former’s behalf, which went as follows:

“I’m delighted with the fact that Justin has won the lunch and am looking forward to meeting him and his friends.”

Given that Sun sought the opportunity so that he could further educate Buffett on cryptocurrencies and blockchain – especially considering the latter’s rather negative viewpoints – he supposedly invited leaders within the space as well. For the time being, this entails both Circle’s Jeremy Allaire and Litecoin creator, Charlie Lee.
