Tron’s Total Account Addresses Tops 3 Million in Under 1 Year After MainNet Launches as BTFS Nears

Tron (TRX), one of the largest cryptocurrencies in the market, has experienced a new massive inflow of users. Although Tron’s mainnet has less than a year since it was launched, its mainnet has already registered over 3 million accounts, a record for such a young network.

Tron Registers Over 3 Million Accounts

Tron has just surpassed 3 million accounts a few days ago. This is a record for such a young network that was released in May 2018. The network indeed has already outperformed Ethereum (ETH) in terms of transactions a few weeks ago. In just 24 hours, the Tron network was able to process 4.7 million transactions, triggered by an increase in the usage of Tron-based dApps.

At the same time, BitTorrent Token (BTT) is going to launch the BitTorrent File Storage (BTFS) as soon as on May 30. According to Justin Sun, the founder and CEO of Tron, explained that BTFS will become the largest decentralize file storage system in the world. The BTT token was launched by Tron earlier this year and the intention is to improve how the network works.

Moreover, Sun announced on Twitter, that there is going to be a big announcement for Tron in the near future. This has helped Tron surge over 5 percent in just a few hours. Meanwhile, BTT has reached he 30th position in the market with a price of $0.001716 and a market capitalization of $363 million.

Tron is currently the 11th largest crypto with a market capitalization of $2.3 billion and a price of $0.088824.
