The list of TRON’s Super Representative is slowly filling up. Today, TRONSiliconValley joined the array of Super Representative with it becoming the 19th candidate to do so. Now, only 8 more spots are to be occupied.

TRONSiliconValley which is based out of Bay Area will award a portion of their Super Representative reward to promote community events. As their website says, “Our goal is to spread the awareness of tron in silicon valley! We hope to build and improve the developer community and also dispell the misinformation around Tron! A portion of SR rewards will be used to fund hackathons, meetups, and community events! Join us!”
Super Representatives are the network nodes that validate transactions and compete for rewards in TRON network. In short, they do what miners do in Bitcoin. However, unlike Bitcoin, not everyone can be a super representative in TRON. The method of their selection is more curated however they draw criticism for not being decentralized enough.
One of the more understated responsibilities of Super Representatives on the network is also to act as one of the guardians of the network, actively participating in the circulation and ongoing validation of activities within the network. Taking on the responsibility of a Super Representative on the network means that TRONSiliconValley will have a major role in the future directions such as its future governance, the firms underlying structure, and will act to represent the will of the people.
Being the 19th TRX Super Rep makes them join the likes of TronsTronics, Lianjinshu, SkyPeople, CryptoDiva, Justin Sun himself and more. Just yesterday TRON revealed that Chinese blockchain giant Raybo was their new SR candidate. We have already saw uTorrent try to make their claim as well after all of the BitTorrent headlines. Currently, TronKorea, TrxDexCom, and tronproio are the leading candidates to become the 20th Super Representative.
