Twitter Account Belonging To Jack Dorsey Gets Hacked, Puts Emphasis On Bitcoin Users Security
If hackers can successfully compromise the social networking accounts belonging to the CEO of multibillion-dollar firms, then it means that no one is beyond their reach. Jack Dorsey is the CEO of Square and Twitter. His Twitter account was recently hacked, an action that should serve to highlight the importance of being security conscious, especially if you are a crypto holder.
Jack Dorsey’s Twitter Is Hacked
Jack Dorsey’s Twitter account was just hacked. This is something that can easily be evidenced through the use of profanities published through his official Twitter handle @jack.
Twitter Comms, which serves as the official communication channel for this social networking platform sent out a tweet acknowledging that their CEO had, in fact, been compromised. They also indicated that they were conducting investigations to establish what led to the breach.
When the news of the hack was announced, Twitter shares fell by 0.164 percent. While this percentage may appear minimal, it was able to shave off as much as $53 million of Twitter’s total market capitalization. TWTR was, however, able to recover in no time.
Even though its stock has recovered, the same cannot be said of its reputation. Many users have gone on the offensive ridiculing Jack Dorsey for his carelessness.
