How To Contribute To Unsung
There are three ways through which individuals can contribute to the Unsung charity initiative. This includes pledging, sponsoring and donating.
Pledging
Usually, this involves an individual making a promise that they will contribute a specific amount of food at a given time. Notably, Unsung does not have a lower cap for a user’s pledge, so any amount, regardless of how small it is, is permissible. However, for the organization to set up a local pickup point, residents of the town should register a pre-specified number of pledges.
Sponsoring
If a donor does not have time to pledge, the most convenient alternative available in sponsoring a meal. Sponsored meals are often tagged with either the name of the contributor or someone else, per the donor’s wishes. To sponsor a meal, an individual will choose the quantity they wish to buy from the charity’s website. Currently, the least amount one can sponsor is $3, the equivalent of a single meal. After selecting the quantity, the next step involves the choosing of the name to be tagged on the food. Lastly, the user chooses the payment option, which can either be credit cards or Bitcoin.
Donating
The funds collected from the donations drive are mostly used in the improvement of the platform through the acquisition of required infrastructure. Since Unsung is a 501c3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible.
The donation process on the Unsung.org website is straightforward. First, the user inputs the amount they wish to contribute, followed by their personal details. The last step involves the entry of card details or the PayPal address of the donor.
