UPS Post Office and Inxeption Roll Out Inxeption Zippy Blockchain for Supply Chain Enhancements
UPS, which is an American postal carrier and the Inxeption, an e-commerce technology company, have come together to roll out a blockchain powered platform. The platform was established to improve on the current supply chains that exist between the merchants. This new development was announced on the 21st of March in a press release.
What To Know About The New Platform?
The platform has been designed to be blockchain based, one that has been dubbed to be the Inxeption Zippy has been specifically designed to help the different companies in the market to effectively list, distribute and market their products to their customers.
It has been said that the platform enables the various merchants to adequately monitor the whole supply chain; this is from the product listing and straight to the delivery to their customers. Thus, with this platform, it will ensure that the sensitive data like a contract specific rate and pricing will only be made accessible to the end buyer and the seller of the commodity.
When you use the platform as a merchant, you will be able to upload the information for a specific product, monitor any returns that are made, schedule the orders made, process a transaction effectively and finally be in a position to process the sale. Not forgetting you will also be able to see the marketing analytics on a product, and much more.
UPS went ahead to make an undisclosed equity investment to the Inxeption company in mid-January. The company becomes aware that customers and the businesses at large needed to have a secure platform that has been designed to protect the customers, while still being able to make the transactions taking place between the merchant and customer run smoothly.
Dibachi said then that:
“business customers need secure platforms that protect their customer data and proprietary information, while making it easy for them to interact and even collaborate more effectively with their customers.”
The Blockchain Technology Might Be The Solution For Most Industries
The business that are in the various industries has taken the necessary steps in exploring the different ways the blockchain technology is able to improve the current supply chain. It was reported that recently the U.S National Pork Board has gone ahead to partner with ripe.io, which is a blockchain company startup.
They partnered with the company to test how the blockchain technology would work with the pork supply chain, one that has claimed it will be able to monitor and be able to evaluate the sustainable practices, livestock health, the food safety standards together with the overall environmental protection.
The Bumble Bee Foods, one that has been considered to be the largest North America company that has been branded as a shelf-stable seafood company went ahead to launch their blockchain platform that will be used in tracing seafood. It is said that as a customer you will be in a position to observe the supply chain and also be able to access the information of the origin of the product together with the shipping history. All this will be made possible with the use of a QR code that is scanned off the product package.
