VeChain Rolls Out Own Ledger Service After Totient Labs Shuts Down VeForge VET Explorer and Vault
VeChain, a blockchain-centered firm that provides day-to-day real-time tracking of several business operations and products announced two new in-house built blockchain solutions in the form of VeChain Official Blockchain Explorer and the VeChain Sync Official Ledger Wallet Interface. The two new products are aimed towards strengthening the VeChain ecosystem.
The Official Ledger Wallet Interface will be available to the public from 21st October while the Official Blockchain Explorer would go live in the last week of November.
Currently, VeChain was using a third-party blockchain explorer called VeForge Explorer developed by Totient Labs. The VeForge Explorer would go offline on 21st October and will be replaced by VeChain Insights which has been developed as a temporary but fully functional explorer till November end when the official explorer goes live. The firm has also informed exchanges of the upcoming changes and has requested them to redirect their service onto the VeChains Insights for the time being.
Features of Newly Introduced Blockchain Solutions
The official Blockchain Explorer boasts of a simplified data and info uploading process onto the explorer due to the Token Registry and Application hub integration into the explorer. Any developer can upload their token and dApp data by simply submitting a Pull Request. The explorer also made its APIs robust for third parties which makes it easier for developers to integrate their data with the platform.
The official VeChain Ledger Wallet would replace the existing third-party portal called VeForge Vault. But unlike the explorer, the shut down of VeForge would impact the wallet users till the official Ledger Wallet launches. Although users cannot access their tokens for the time being the firm has assured that their funds are totally safe and secure.
