Viva La Crypto: Mexico’s First Blockchain Event November 20-21, 2018
Come November 20th and 21st, Mexico will be hosting it's first ever blockchain event dubbed ‘Viva la Crypto’. The event that will be held in Monterrey is organized by Angelica Villarreal. The 25 year old engineer hopes that the event will open up the country to the limitless world of blockchain technology.
According to her, organizing such an event has been long overdue since Mexico is a haven of financial activities. Angelica and her team have faced various challenges in their efforts to put this event together. Top among the challenges is getting Mexico recognized as a place with potential for blockchain.

The event organizer has risen rapidly in the industry having created a name for herself in the last three years. At the moment she’s in charge of Horizen which was formerly called Zencash. The crypto enthusiast and blockchain crusaider hopes to gather a crowd of about 1500 participants who will get a chance to listen to influencers in the crypto industry.
According to the organizers, the event has generated a lot of buzz around the business and organization circles in Mexico and beyond. The team intends to carry out a national campaign with the aim of bringing more people on board for the event.
Speakers at the event
Some of the big names expected to speak to the audience include Arnaud Saint Paul who is a popular name around the crypto circles. He’s a socially conscious blockchain enthusiast and a known philanthropist. He’s expected to give a talk on blockchain and its impact on society.
There’s also Alexander Levin who holds the position of chief diversity officer at the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance. She will be taking a deeper look at international regulations in relation to blockchain.
All in all Villarreal and her team are hoping that the event is a success. She hopes that people even beyond the borders of the country will attend.They also hope to expand the event into Mexico City come 2019 in order to really open up Mexico to the world of blockchain.
