Want Free BAT Tokens? Brave Browser Offers Crypto Incentive to Watch Video Advertisements
There are plenty of websites online that offer consumers the opportunity for free money with little participation.
Often, these websites are rich with surveys, but there are also opportunities to earn points and money by watching advertisements online. It looks like the Brave browser wants to cash in on this opportunity for crypto clients as well, offering an opportunity for clients to earn free Basic Attention Tokens (BATs) by watching videos on their browser as well.
Brave, the decentralized browser, just announced the new option on their official website today, saying that up to 70% of the ad revenue will be shared via BATs. The Brave Ads will be connecting videos regarding advertisings, lowering costs, and risk management with the people who want to watch them.
Furthermore, the company explained that they are working with The Giving Block, a charity-based startup for blockchain consulting, which will help them create ad inventory while testing use cases. They have also gotten The Human Right Foundation involved, and individuals who decide to watch ads for BATs will be able to tip the organization with the crypto assets.
Brendan Eich, the CEO and co-founder of Brave Software, commented that their project is “a digital ad platform that is the first to protect users’ data rights and to reward them for their attention.” Optimally, the Brave Ads program will make the advertising industry more effective and will reduce the costs charged to publishers and advertisers.
Brave partnered with the Cheddar news website at the start of the year, providing consumers with three months of free access to the content. Based on reports, it appears that no action is necessary for users to automatically get the access to the Cheddar premium content.
In December, HTC decided to make Brave their default browser for smartphones, pre-installing it on their Exodus 1 device, making it the “first native blockchain phone.” The Exodus 1 also was programmed to support multiple blockchains, which gives access to the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks as well.
Presently, the BAT asset is valued at $0.437959 after a surge of 5.85% in the last 24 hours. It is one of only five tokens that have seen gains in the last 24 hours in the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap.
