War of Words with Roger Ver, Charlie Lee as Bitcoin Jesus Questions LTC Creator’s Economic Prowess
Roger Ver, one of the most popular individuals in the cryptocurrency community, attacked Litecoin’s founder Charlie Lee.
During an interview with Sirtoshi, Mr. Ver has generated controversies with Mr. Lee that is an active member of the crypto space.
Roger Ver Claims Cherlie Lee Doesn’t Understand How Bitcoin Works
In this interview, the popular supporter of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), explained that Lee’s whole goal from the beginning was to pick up Bitcoin’s slack. At the same time, he expected Bitcoin’s transaction fees to rise reducing its reliability. This would clearly have a positive effect on Litecoin, which would look like the best alternative to Bitcoin with low fees and fast transaction times.
As Roger Ver mentioned, Litecoin would be completely pointless and worthless without the increase in the transaction fees paid by users on the Bitcoin network. Litecoin has 2.5 minutes blocks, lower fees and fast transactions compared to Bitcoin’s 10 minutes blocks.
Ver has also admitted that he bought altcoins when he became convinced about Bitcoin’s scaling issues. Nonetheless, he admitted that he has never owned Litecoin and that having a diverse portfolio is the best thing to do.
Roger Ver stated that he believes that Charlie Lee has zero understanding of how Bitcoin became popular. About it, Ver explained:
“I don’t know how much Charlie is in it for the money or not, but I do know that he has zero understanding of the economics of why Bitcoin became popular, to begin with.”
He went on saying that Lee received money to promote negative things about Bitcoin because it could help Litecoin gain exposure as well.
Finally, Ver has also commented that Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Namoto, Bitcoin’s founder, is a fraud. Mr. Wright has been involved in different controversies after he sued different figures in the space for claiming he is not Satoshi Nakamoto.
