Weiss Ratings Gives Positive Comments About Stellar Lumens And XRP

XRP and Stellar Lumens (XLM) have received positive comments from the independent rating agency Weiss Ratings. The company said that amid a bear market in the cryptocurrency world, XLM and XRP register smaller losses, which is something that shows their strength.

Indeed, during the last 24 hours, Stellar and XRP are the only two top-10 virtual currencies that are not falling. XRP is growing 0.27% in while Stellar 2.27%. Each XRP coin can be purchased for $0.47 dollars and each XLM coin for $0.24 dollars.

In a Tweet uploaded by Weiss Ratings, the company seems very positive about these two cryptocurrencies. It mentioned that these coins do not rely on mining at all, which is something that proves their worth. Instead, Bitcoin has lost much more value in the last hours.

Although #BTC is tanking to the lowest lows of the last 12 months, the likes of #XRP or #Stellar aren't going down as much and are still holding support. These coins don't rely on mining at all – this is proving their worth.

Moreover, XRP was able to reach the second position in the virtual currency market. Ethereum was not able to sustain its value and XRP overtook it in the last days. Stellar did something similar with EOS a few days ago. Both EOS and Ethereum have experienced very negative sentiment in the last months.

In the near future, Stellar could be added to Coinbase as a new asset. In the last months, Coinbase – which is one of the most popular companies in the space – has been adding support to other virtual currencies such as 0x (ZRX) and Basic Attention Token (BAT).

At the moment, Coinbase did not make any comment related to the possibility to add XRP to its trading platform. Nevertheless, some time ago, the Coinbase Custody decided to add support for XRP on its institutional custodian service.

Weiss Ratings’ comments show that there are several valuable virtual currencies in the market other than Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) or Litecoin (LTC).
