Weiss Crypto Ratings Poll Results Show Ripple’s XRP Best Coin For Exchange Swapping
It seems that Ripple (XRP) has been selected as the favorite virtual currency to send and receive money between exchanges. The information has been provided by Weiss Ratings after making a poll in Twitter, with more than 7,500 votes. XRP obtained 78% of all the votes.
Other virtual currencies competing against Ripple’s XRP were Ethereum, and Bitcoin. The ‘other’ option was the second most voted with Ethereum. The least voted was Bitcoin with 6% of the votes.
XRP enthusiasts have been asking to Coinbase to add support to the XRP currency, but the Los Angeles-based company did not do it yet. At the same time, this poll confirms that XRP is much more useful than other virtual currencies that have higher transaction fees and take more time to be processed.
It is important to mention that CNBC’s Fast Money conducted a poll between XRP, Cardano (ADA), ZCash (ZEC), and Stellar (XLM), in which Ripple led with 34% of the votes, followed by ZCash (30%), Cardano (25%), and Stellar (11%).
During the last week, Coinbase announced that they were ‘exploring’ the addition of five new currencies including Zcash, Stellar, Cardano, 0x and Basic Attention Token.
“We are exploring the addition of several new assets, and will be working with local banks and regulators to add them in as many jurisdictions as possible,”
informed Coinbase.
XRP is one of the most important virtual currencies in the market. Indeed, XRP has a market capitalization of $18 billion dollars and each token can be bought for $0.46 dollars. After Bitcoin and Ethereum, Ripple is the most influential currencies in the market. It will be very positive for XRP if it is added to Coinbase.
