Wietse Wind’s XRPL Labs’ XRP TipBot Looks To Obtain A Banking License
XRP TipBot To Get Banking License
Recently, Wietse Wind sat down for an interview with Tiffany Hayden for a XRP Community Meetup in the Netherlands. Talking about the XRP Tip Bot, Wind, the founder of Ripple-backed XRPL Labs said:
“We consider the XRP Tip Bot (platform/app) as a great experimental environment for things we want to use in production with XRPL Labs. Since we already have a great user base/fan base with over 7,500 installations of the application, it’s a really great mixed testing environment. So take the Bluetooth feature: We’d be implementing things like that into the TipBot app and testing it with the community before we would use it in the XRPL Labs Signing App.”
The even spoke about XRP being in the process of getting a banking license. The license is expected to boost the recently struggling price of XRP. Additionally, it might help them with institutional investors. Currently, there are around 7,500 users who have installed the application.

XRPTipBot, a bot that enables users on Reddit, Twitter, and Discord to send XRP to each other via the social media platforms now has a new feature that could increase its popularity within the crypto cycle as the tipping landscape heats up.
The bot now has a recurring feature that enables users to make recurrent payments. With this development, users of the bot can now make payments regularly as everything has been automated. All one has to do is to enable the recurring feature and it’s all systems go. The new feature on XRPTipBot might help attract more users cementing the popularity of XRP as a means of settlement.
