According to the Twitter account Whale Alert, which informs about large blockchain transactions, Tether’s (USDT) Treasury moved 9,890,100 USDT, worth close to the same amount in USD, to an unknown wallet. This has raised some concerns after the current investigation that is being conducted by regulators in New York.

Tether Moves Almost $10 Million To An Unknown Wallet

As reported by Whale Alert a few hours ago, Tether’s Treasury moved almost $10 million in USDT to an unknown wallet. The wallet address that sent the transaction was 5754284f345afc66a98fbB0a0Afe71e0F007B949 and the receiver was 568cC6EcA34D56f5695B16Ff0250DFA77F247c47. The receiver address had 1,537.2382314 Ether (ETH), worth close to $387k. At the same time, the transactions received by this address include stablecoins such as Tether, USD Coin (USDC) and Paxos Standard (PAX).

Whale Alert provides information about large cryptocurrency transactions. Although not all of them are suspicious, they call the attention because they can be performed by large investors, exchanges, hackers, and institutions.

A few hours ago, Whale Alert reported that Cryptopia hackers moved funds from their wallet to Huobi where they exchanged the funds for other coins. This has been done in order to hide and clean the funds they stole from the exchange.
