What Dennis Rodman, PotCoin & The US-North Korea Summit All Have in Common
PotCoin May Be The Sponsor Of Dennis Rodman Trip To The US-North Korea Summit In Singapore
PotCoin, also known as the marijuana cryptocurrency, may be sponsoring Dennis Rodman’s trip to the summit between North Korea and the United States that is going to take place the next week in Singapore. The information has been released by the Washington Post on June the 7th.
PotCoin aims to facilitate transactions within the legalized cannabis industry, which is expanding in many different places. The company is located in Canada and has already sponsored Rodman’s trip to North Korea back in 2017. At the same time, a PotCoin spokesman known as Shawn Perez, said that Rodman deserves ‘the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with President Trump and the Marshal Kim Jong Un.
But it seems that at the State Department they are not sure about Rodman’s potential presence at the summit. A spokesman at the agency said that he is not a representative of the US government.
Mr. Perez commented:
“The PotCoin team as a community has been incredibly supportive of Rodman’s peace mission from the beginning. We’re thrilled to see how the political climate has improved between North Koreans and the US since he became involved.”
Rodman has also traveled to North Korea in 2013 with the Harlem Globetrotters. Additionally, he has a good relation with Kim who is an enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Bulls from the 90’s. Of course, this good relationship between North Korea’s leader and Mr. Rodman does not mean that they will see each other at the summit.
Different important figures and celebrities have shown their support to different cryptocurrencies. Steven Seagal, for example, represented the Bitcoiin2Gen. Floyd Mayweather has also participated from an Initial Coin Offering campaign by Stox.
North Korea may be ready to denuclearize the region and start to open the country to the capitalist world. It is not clear whether this will be a reality, but it is a possibility in the medium and long term that will be discussed at the summit.
