World Class Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao Launches His Own Cryptocurrency, Pac Token

At a free concert this Sunday, Philippine boxing champ Manny Pacquiao launched his own cryptocurrency. The 40-yr old boxer wants to cash in on his “Pac” tokens that will allow fans to buy his merchandise and interact with him on social media.

Our regular readers will know that Manny had been planning on this for over a year now. GCOX claims to be the only global celebrity-focused digital currency exchange. It offers the first platform for celebrities that are interested in tokenizing their popularity. The exchange would help them develop their own cryptocurrencies and list it on their platform.

Pacquiao is one of the first celebrities that is promoting its Celebrity Token using the PAC Token. Celebrity Tokens can be used to purchase different merchandise, tickets and other services endorsed by celebrities around the world and that have decided to use the GCOX platform. Other benefits are meet-and-greets and other interactions with important figures.

GCOX explains that its technology, built on the Acclaim blockchain, is designed to benefit celebrities at different points in their career. While newer public figures have the chance to increase their profile, catalyze their popularity and build a brand, established celebrities will be able to mobilize existing fans and sustain their momentum.

They also recently announced that Jason Derulo, the American singer-songwriter who has sold more than 30 million singles, making him a mainstay on international charts has joined its platform.
