The firm announced three new products which include Wyre branded Apple Pay and Google Pay which users can integrate into their web app. Another dedicated button for Apple Pay and Google Pay can also be integrated into the web app. The firm would also offer a guidebook on how to integrate these new services.
The firm in it's announcement revealed that these changes were brought in based on the feedback they received from the consumers. The announcement read,
“A significant pain-point that we received feedback on was our KYC process. Users shouldn’t have to manually enter their information, and they certainly shouldn’t be required to upload documents until it’s needed for higher limits. We’ve simplified this process by using the information already provided by Apple Pay and Google Pay.”
How Do The New Services Work?
Any Apple user can log in to the Wyre services using their iPhone while Google Pay users need to login through the desktop. After logging in, the user can decide the amount they want to buy crypto for and then select the crypto of their choice and add their wallet address to confirm.
Wyre is trying to bridge the gap between the crypto and fiat world and only last year partnered with mobile wallet BRD to avail 1700 banks to their US customers which allowed them to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and DAI using bank transfer. The integration of fiat payment gateway services to its customer base, Wyre is definitely making it easier for general public to buy cryptocurrencies.
