The ease of exchange of digital currency has been the base upon which many crypto exchange platforms have developed their updates.

Since the establishment of crypto ATMs, their users have said that the ATMs have made crypto transactions faster and easier.

XRP On BelcoBTM ATM

There is video footage of a Ripple user purchasing XRP with a BelcoBTM cryptocurrency ATM, in New Jersey. XRP was transferred to a Trust wallet by the user. The firm tweeted:

“Fees are a little high but still #XRP in an ATM is a gamechanger, glad to be from the first users of this service. #xrpcommunity #xrparmy #xrpthestandard #xrpthebase”

The Transaction Process

It is shown in the footage that the user selects XRP on the ATM, and then a phone number is required for an OTP (one time password). After this phase, a QR code is scanned by the user on the Trust wallet app to verify the ATM, and then the XRP is purchased using a debit card.

A Great Move

A lot of people in the XRP community have praised the innovation, with many saying it is a positive step in the direction of mass adoption. Misty Sins, who is an XRP enthusiast said:

“That’s great! Thanks for sharing. I cant wait to see XRP listed on the Crypto ATM’s here in Vegas.”

Bitcoin Lightning Payments

Digital currency ATMs have been around for a while now. Recent reports say that payments on Bitcoin lightning Network can be made through Bitcoin ATMs. Felix Weis, a researcher and developer who made the transaction and said afterwards:

“Just a proof of concept ‘top up your existing channel’. Lots of bugs but two different mobile wallets worked fine.”
