XRP Tip Bot Adoption Catches on as Deposits Surpass 10,000 XRP Coin Milestone
The creator of XRP Tip Bot, Wietse Wind, has recently tweeted that the micro payment service has surpassed, together with Coil, the figure of 10,000 XRP. The landmark is very important for the project and for web monetization. The tweet has also affirmed that “100,000 XRP will be soon”.
Wind has also posted the stats of the XRP TipBot. At the moment, a total of 74,598 tips have been made. The tipped amount was 94,013 XRP and Coil deposits and TipBot balance are not over 10,000 XRP.
It was also deemed a success that the app was finally approved both in Google and Apple online stores in October, which has boosted the project since users will now be able to access it with more ease.
The app was created to be very easy to use and to have many important features such as show/hide balance, sync contact, browse through the transaction history and more. At the moment, the app has 2,000 active accounts, a number that was increased after Google and Apple approved the project.
Partnership With Coil
Earlier in 2018, the XRP Tip Bot was integrated within Coil, another service that was used to make the STREAMing of micropayments possible for the platform. STREAM is an abbreviation for Streaming Transport for the Real-time Exchange of Assets and Messages. Basically, it means that the transactions are made in small bundled amounts done in continuous flows.
The services were mostly used for people who wanted to support services that they like or to support content that they find credible.
AMBCrypto, which has also reported on this story, has affirmed that many users on Twitter seemed hyped by the news. Some people wished the company good luck while other seemed interested in the future of the company and its growth.
