XRP Tip Bot Looks for Approval to Integrate with Amazon Alexa App Store

The XRP Tip Bot was originally created in an effort to let users on Reddit, Discord, and Twitter send small amounts of XRP to each other.

However, based on a recent post by @nixerFFM on Twitter, this technology may be added to the Amazon Alexa App Store. SludgeFeed quickly jumped on this progression for the tipping application the following day.

The app that Nixer discusses is relatively simple. In the video, the only action that Nixer takes is saying a phrase – “Send XRP to Tiffany Hayden.” The app responds with a request for the amount to send. After providing it, the app confirms the amount and destination before the transaction is complete and subsequently verified by XRP developer Wietse Wind.

Wind also believes in making this tipping app into an option on Alexa. He posted the day before Nixer’s post, saying,

“Our resources are limited, so we’re going to focus on a few other things, and we’re building TipBot V2 (it will take some months) allowing other developers to integrate with the TipBot.”

As the Twitter post indicates, this project is in the pre-beta phase, and Amazon has yet to approve it to be added to their marketplace. Still, the statistics cannot be ignored. Over 74,000 tips have been processed through the XRP Tip Bot, and the total amount sent has been 93,077 XRP. Right now, both Google Play and the Apple Store have it available for download.
