Zcash Foundation And Parity Technologies To Develop A New Alternative ZEC Blockchain Client Node
Z Cash Foundation And Parity Technologies Partner To Develop A New Alternative Client Node For Z Cash Blockchain
Back in October, the blockchain infrastructure company, Parity technologies, announced their plans to partner with ZCash (ZEC), a privacy-based blockchain. The partnership is finally here as announced on the official blog of the company which further stated that the two will work together to bring up an alternative client node for the private blockchain. This will be the first alternative client for Z Cash and signals a further step in development decentralization as it becomes the first Z Cash node not built or managed by Zerocoin Electric Coin Company.
The massive steps towards better privacy measures and a more decentralized system is welcome by the executive director of Z Cash Foundation, Josh Cincinnati who also called on for Parity’s experience in blockchain development. Josh said their newest partner will offer the required technical expertise to build node implementations for Z Cash which will boost the growth of the community and become more decentralized.
The development of an independent node on Z Cash provides the miners and users of ZEC a more decentralized and distributed platform as the number of options increases.
Parity Technologies specializes in Bitcoin and Ethereum node implementation and is aiming to provide Z Cash with an equally fast and efficient alternative client. The company will develop the node using the Rust language to improve the performance and shielded transactions. As an open source project, developers skilled in the Rust language can contribute to the project and improve the zero-knowledge proofs protocols and privacy systems on Z Cash.
The Z Cash alternative client will allow developers in Parity to test their latest Polkadot interoperability feature to send transactions across and between various blockchains. The chief technical officer at Parity, Fredrik Harrysson said,
“We want to launch Polkadot with a Z Cash bridge from day one. We believe that Z Cash has some big feature sets to add to this interoperability.”
