Zilliqa To Launch A New Blockchain Incubation Program, ZILHive, With LongHash
Zilliqa is known for its high-throughput blockchain ecosystem and it has recently announced a 12-week blockchain incubation program to support various projects developments on the platform. The incubation program is called Zil Hive. The Zil Hive Program would be run in association with the global blockchain incubator LongHash which is also supported by the Singapore government.
The incubation program was announced on the occasion of the second anniversary for the Zilliqa blockchain. The anniversary celebration program was attended by more than 21 partners consisting of ecosystem partners, regional industry leaders, and community members, and was hosted at the National Gallery of Singapore.
The Zil Hive incubation program is an extension of the Zilliqa ecosystem grant program which is being organized to support and encourage upcoming entrepreneurs to build their Dapp on Zilliqa platform. The incubation program promises greater technical tutorship, mentorship, marketing guidance, and various funding opportunities.
The program is open to everyone worldwide and the firm would accept applications until July 31 and the program will be live on October 1. The program would see Zilliqa providing collaborative support to 5 competing teams. The aim of these participating teams would be to create a product which will utilize the native token of the platform Zil.
The program would run for three months where all the 5 participating teams would be expected to touch three critical milestones. These milestones include,
- creating a minimum viable product (MVP)
- an Alpha program for user-based product feedback
- a Beta program with the Zilliqa community to kickstart the product’s use.
At the end of the incubation program, the participating teams are expected to launch their product on Demo Day and seek capital fund for further development from a list of capital firms, angel investors, and family offices. Apart from that, all five participating teams would also receive a non-dilutable fund of $20,000 from the Zilliqa.
The applicants can apply till Jul 31st, and all the successful entries will be notified by August 30. The association of Zil Hive with longHash would benefit the participants in many ways. The association would open the gates of a long list of LongHash mentors, enterprise-ready blockchain solutions as well as legal guidance on various country-specific products.
