Zilliqa (ZIL) Reveals Mainnet Launch Date, Sharding, Partnerships & Scilla Updates
Know Everything About The Zilliqa (ZIL) Project Updates
Zilliqa has recently posted a new update on its Medium page that was intended to warn the fans and users of the network about upcoming features, such as the launch date of the Zilliqa MainNet, new partnerships and the Scilla programming language.
Zilliqa MainNet Launch Data
The Zilliqa team has asked the community to be more patient for the MainNet launch. According to the post, the group still needs some time to work on the final product and only then it will be able to release it.
Its release date is not yet set in stone but it will be between the end of the year and January 2019 if everything goes according to the plans. This time will be used to develop new toolchains, integrate wallets, prepare the token swap, conduct security audits and bring more decentralized apps on the team.
Zilliqa Partnership News
Among the partnerships that Zilliqa announced, the most important one is with Infoteria, which is a leading software company in Japan that is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. According to the Zilliqa team, this new partnership will enable the company to use next generation technology to create decentralized apps that will be made on top of the Zilliqa network.
Also, Zilliqa will be promoted on Asteria, Infoteria’s middleware product platform, which has a big market. Dapps based on this new partnership will be already available this year and will be compatible with Asteria.
Scilla Programming Language
Finally, the team has also talked about Scilla, the new programming language. The team has managed to outline the White Paper and to merge the PoWs into a single one, so now Scilla will only have it. On the mining side, Zilliqa’s team will use OpenCL to support GPU mining and Ethash-based PoW.
At the moment, the team does not have any date for the testnet of Scilla. The first version of the Scilla Contracts has already been launched, though.
